HD Geosolutions, Inc. (HDGeo) served as geotechnical engineer for this 1.7-acre multi-story, multi-family affordable housing development in eastern San Diego County. Over a three-year period, we provided geotechnical exploration and design services, and construction observation and testing services. Project challenges involved steep topography, tight lot lines, soil to bedrock transitions, and storm water management. Extensive coordination between the stakeholders, contractors, and review agencies was required for the project, including utility improvements in the adjacent public right-of-way.
