The FedEx Ground Facility in Arcadia is situated on 42 acres and is 367,000 square feet. The site previously was part of an 80-acre sand and gravel quarry operational from about the 1960s until 1990. More than 10 million cubic yards of material was removed, with pit depths in excess of 150 feet. During 2005 through 2015, HD Geosolutions, Inc. provided the geotechnical engineering services in support of filling the quarry with a performance-based engineered fill suitable for development. Our firm subsequently provided the construction services for the development from 2016 through 2017.
